Sea Cadets are required to attend a minimum of one training a year. However, cadets must attend one training per rank, which is generally every six months. Therefore we recommend cadets attend two a year so they are held up when time to promote. Summer is the easiest time to attend and you can stockpile up to three trainings for promotion purposes making it easy to skip the winter training season which may conflict with family holiday celebrations.

Trainings are offered in summer and winter all over the US. Registration cost includes food, housing and instruction for 5 to 14 days. This cost is in addition to annual registration cost. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from training. Some will allow you to fly your cadet and staff will pick them up at the airport, but more likely you need to drop them off at the door at a very specific time and place.
