Unique Experiences in Pathfinders
It takes extra dedication from our adult volunteers and cadets to run and participate in these unit teams which meet off drill but it gives them unique skills and experiences in their time in the Sea Cadets.
Cadets have participated in high profile events meeting people like the Secretary of the Navy, Admirals and other high ranking military officers, professional sports athletes, and business professionals.
Ceremonial Guard
Drill Team
The Pathfinders Ceremonial Drill team is the only in the DC region. To be part of this team cadets are held to the highest standards in military bearing, uniform maintenance, marching and upholding the regulations from the Sea Cadets and the USMC Drill Manual. These cadets must be available for additional practices off drill and for events held off drill. The Drill team has performed at parades, special ceremonies and high profile events such as the NLUS Holiday party.The Color Guard regularly performs at parades, ceremonies and sports events such as the Keys baseball games and Washington Spirit Women's Soccer games.

Rocket Team
Bill the Flying Goat Rocket Team
The Pathfinders Rocket Team was formed in 2023 and is competing in the National American Rocketry Competition. The team is required to do everything from fundraising, purchasing, designing and building the rockets. In addition they document the process through social media and videos.
The team meets one to two times a month off drill to complete the process.
Cyber Patriot Teams
The Cyber Patriot Team competes nationally in simulations to protect computers and webpages from hackers. These cadets meet off drill one to two times a month in the fall months.
